    JOB SUMMARY: 

    Preparing the generator engine as part of the final assembly of the unit is a primary role for the Engine Preparer in the Mechanical Integration team. This role will be essential in the process of ensuring all items have been completed before the next step in the building process. While this will be the primary focus of this position in high volume times, there will be opportunity to rotate in other roles on the Integration team such as Tank preparation, Rigging/Crane, and Finish.     FOCUS RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Install intake tubes.

    • Install exhaust flexes.

    • Install CCV- crank case ventilation lines.

    • Install fuel return lines.

    • Install drain line fittings for oil and coolant.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaboration with others when adjustments to installation or preparation plans are needed.

    • Install generator and fuel related components such as air tubes, air breathers/heat shields, shunt lines, fuel polisher, dosing system, urea supply system, urea tank, urea tank insulation. 

    • Bolting down generator rails

    • Assist with installing isolators and engine rails.

    • Install battery racks.

    • Prepare power control box.

    • Assist with rigging for movement. 

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma or GED (required)

    • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

    • Familiar with reading blueprints. 

    • Strong attention to detail with an even stronger work ethic. 

    • Effective time management skills who can also adapt to quickly changing priorities.

    • Must wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, etc.

    • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.

    • Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.

    • Being flexible and patient with the ability to assist in other areas when needed.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement.

    • Skilled at driving a forklift.

    • Good math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.

    • Ability to perform work tasks with little or no supervision.

    • Ability to push, pull and lift 50lbs.

    • Ability to work in all-weather conditions.

    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
