Position: Experienced Sous Chef

Your Role:

As a skilled Sous Chef, you will be a vital leader in our culinary engine. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, you will orchestrate and elevate our kitchen operations while upholding the standards that make Salute Market a dining destination of distinction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead by example in recruiting, training, and nurturing a talented kitchen team.

-Balance food costs and labor efficiency to ensure operational excellence.

-Uphold and enhance kitchen protocols and procedures.

-Innovate with the Executive Chef to create inspired menu offerings.

-Guide the line during service, ensuring seamless operations.

-Supervise and lead prep, guaranteeing consistency and quality.

-Provide steady support to the back-of-house team, stepping in when necessary.

-Manage schedules to optimize staffing needs.

-Collaborate on inventory management and cost control.

 Qualifications:

-A formal education in Culinary Arts is a plus, with experience being a valuable alternative.

-A track record of at least 3+ years in Kitchen Management.

-Proven expertise in menu curation, recipe development, and team mentorship.

-Proficient communicator with strong written and verbal skills.

-Adaptability to dynamic schedules and varying team dynamics.

-Problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.

-Effective communication and leadership qualities.
