Job Description: As an OpenArray Consumables Manufacturing Technician (Formatting and Content Prep), your primary duties will include running/maintaining both our proprietary robotics platform as well as commercially available robotics systems.
The position may also include final product packaging in preparation for customer shipments. Experience in handling chemicals in a wet laboratory setting and knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLPs) are essential.
The candidate will be asked to follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in an ISO compliant environment while making these materials for inventory. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation of manufacturing batch records and will participate in the upkeep of the manufacturing areas. The candidate should have the ability to multi-task, to work in a team-oriented environment and also to work independently on routine and non-routine tasks assigned by a team lead or manager.
Job requirements include: A minimum of an Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology or related field is required. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a Chemistry or laboratory environment running manufacturing processes is required. Experience at a biotechnology or life sciences company is a plus. Mechanical aptitude or ability to perform light troubleshooting of robotics systems is beneficial. Strong communication, both oral and written, is required. Strong attention to detail required. Capable of lifting 30 pounds. Willing to work overtime and cover off-shifts based upon demand. Computer skills, experience in an ISO laboratory environment and an understanding of safe working practices are crucial. Continuous improvement aptitude strongly desired. Experience with SAP will be beneficial. Experience in surface chemistry a plus. Team-oriented individual is highly desired.
