The Hotel is looking for a professionally energetic, enthusiastic Pantry Person. The applicant should have excellent internal and external customer service skills, the ability to handle a fast-paced culinary environment while addressing all client needs, concerns, and accommodations. Key responsibilities of the role include: * Prepare and cook orders for daily operations * Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assists in receiving items and taking inventory as required * Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to: reach-ins, walk-ins and counters * May assist with other duties as assigned EOE/M/F/D/V/AA InterContinental conducts a post-offer pre-employment screen which includes a thorough background check and drug test. Applicants must have basic reading, writing and math skills as well as be able to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Candidates must possess at leastthree yearsof related food preparation experience or training in a four- to five-star hotel or restaurant required. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler cards as required by local or state government agency is preferred. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This job requires ability to perform the following: * Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds * Standing up and moving about in the kitchen * Handling food objects, products and utensils * Bending, stooping and kneeling.
