The Nurse Manager manages the 24-hour operation of the OR in an efficient and cost effective manner, as well as assures the provision of quality patient care through compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, and efficient management of clinical and financial resources. This role applies management and clinical expertise, education, research, and consultation to optimize operational outcomes, and represents the OR in forums, fostering a collaborative approach and focusing on effective, efficient service to patients and community.

• BSN or Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
• Current active unencumbered California Registered Nurse license
• Valid BLS certification and ACLS certification as required by the nursing unit; CNOR preferred
• Five years of relevant clinical nursing experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a progressively responsible management/leadership position, preferably in a comparable size acute care facility
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Title 22, JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and related accreditation standards
• Demonstrates proactive attitude and creativity in problem solving
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff
• Demonstrates dedication to quality service
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• General business and budget experience strongly preferred
