House of Bagels in San Luis Obispo has an opening for a full time bagel maker and kitchen prep person. Candidate must have commercial kitchen experience in a restaurant or full service deli. Experience making dough a plus but we will train the right person. Need to understand kitchen health and safety. Possession of a food health certificate a plus! Responsibilities include pastry baking, gourmet cream cheese making, slicing deli meats and cheeses, vegetable prep, etc. Must be highly organized, clean, proactive thinking, possess good communications skills, and be enjoyable to work with. Shift available is Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri & Sat from 6:30am-2:30pm. (Off Wed & Sun) Must be able to pass a drug test. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift at least 50 pounds.
