Responsibilities This is a new position that will oversee, direct, and manage regulatory compliance with the state Residential Care Facility for the Elderly licensure regulations, for 45 assisted living facilities in California.
Specific job duties include:
Provide regulatory training and technical assistance to community directors to encourage and promote regulatory compliance.
Design quality assurance and regulatory compliance monitoring tools and systems to promote regulatory compliance.
Monitor and assess trends of regulatory violations across each community, Community Care Licensing Region, and statewide.
Conduct mock inspections to maintain regulatory compliance.
Interface and network with state agency representatives relating to regulatory inspections, plans of corrections, enforcement actions, regulatory policies and regulatory interpretations.
Review, track, and manage trends of incidents and incident investigations.
Advise Directors of Operations, Vice President of Operations, Vice-President of Care, and Directors of Care relating to staffing, program, and policy improvements, aimed at maintaining regulatory compliance.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Vice President of Care for the West Region, Sunrise Senior Living.
Travel:
Frequent travel within the state of California is required, with prominent locations centered in the Sacramento, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego areas.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in the health or human services field
- 5 years experience as a regulator or auditor of health or human services
- 2 years experience in a management or supervisory position
- Able to travel in the geographic area
- Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate group presentations
- Competent in organizational, time mgmt skills
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
