We are currently seeking an innovative and enthusiastic product expert to lead a team of product managers.
The Director of Product Management will be responsible for expanding Telvent DTNs agriculture vertical market while working with sales and marketing to grow market share. This individual will work closely with industry experts and customers to transform user requirements from needs into reality. The role requires a proven ability to establish and lead a vision and the ability to move ideas from the concept stage, through development and to full market launch. This position is an exciting new leadership role in a growing company and requires an energetic individual with high level of strategic thinking and demonstrated execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Define and lead strategies and tactics to ensure Telvent DTNs position as the trusted business advisor who understands the industry and can diagnose and solves business problems * Manage all dimensions of product strategy and specific product lines for information-based products and services in Software as a Service (Saas) business model * Drive product roadmap and life cycle, business requirements definition, and product strategy Collaborate with senior management to develop creative solutions to grow current business * Determine functionality requirements and ensure project requirements and client expectations are met, while moving towards strategic goals
Requirements:
* BA/BS in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field required; MBA or Masters Degree in related field is a strong plus * 5+ years experience in a lead product management role required and 5+ years in a general product management role * Prior experience leading software development projects is required * Technical experience working with Internet-based services and Web technologies required * Demonstrated experience driving results in cross-team projects is required * Proven track record of defining products and enhancements that have positive ROI * Reputation for developing new solutions for industry challenges and strong knowledge of how to use technology to solve problems * Proven record of providing input to management teams on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs * Knowledge and understanding of products, competitive offerings and market drivers * Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with external customers and internally within numerous Telvent DTN departments * Willingness to travel extensively * Prior Agriculture background is a strong plus
