Clinical Social Worker (MSW)-Inpatient Acute Rehab - PT and Per Diem
Alta Bates Summit Medical Center is San Francisco East Bay's largest private, not-for-profit medical center with a total of 1,082 licensed beds. Each of our campuses has 24-hour emergency, obstetric and medical/surgical services in both Oakland and Berkeley. At Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, you'll find an environment that reflects the values and mission to support healthy living. This position participates as a member of the treatment team to provide psychosocial assessments, clinical interventions and discharge planning to patients and their families.
Requirements:
Must be graduate of graduate school of social work with Master of Social Work Degree. LCSW is desired. Minimum 1-2 years prior experience in acute care Medical Center. Specialized and extensive training in Human Growth and Development. Thorough knowledge of physical, cultural, psychosocial needs of patients, but particularly in the area of adult and pediatric age groups. Familiarity with required abuse reporting requirements. Familiarity with requirements of Durable Power of Attorney and Natural Death Act execution. Familiarity with Protective Agency reporting requirements. Familiarity with resources which receive and care for patients. Knowledge of the impact of illness, stress and change on the patient.
