Position is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (DCH Regional Medical Center)
DCH Health System is accepting applications for an experienced full-time Laundry Supervisor. Responsibilities will include for managing the daily work activities of assigned Laundry personnel and ensuring established production requirements, processing procedures and all assignments are followed.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitors work load, making adjustments as needed to compensate for peak / slack time.
Inspect completed work for acceptable quality and quantity.
Communicates with all employees, supervisors and management.
Effectively communicates clear and concise goals and leads by example to ensure those goals are met daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.
Counsel employees exhibiting unsatisfactory work performance and recommend appropriate disciplinary action for continued unsatisfactory work performance.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
At least two years Laundry supervisory experience in a commercial or health care setting preferred.
Good leadership / supervisory and people skills with the ability to effectively lead people.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
