Overview:
The ASN Trouble Resolution Analyst's key responsibility will be to ensure timely processing of merchandise receipts. They will explore improved methods for resolving merchandise discrepancies called out in Exception Reporting and distribution centers, due to overages, substitutions, and UPC issues. The Analyst will streamline the resolution of EDI advance ship notice problems and identify ways to improve the workflow. They will evaluate key factors causing problems and help identify methods to prevent their occurrence. The Analyst will establish standards and report the progress that is being made. They will track problem ship progress in an effort to increase expediency and accuracy of orders.
Key Accountabilities:
Track daily ""Advanced Shipping Notices"" issues in order to speed receipts and to find proactive methods of resolution. The goal is to resolve ""Advanced Shipping Notice"" issues before the merchandise arrives at the Distribution Center.
Analyze reasons preventing merchandise from being immediately received. Utilize reports to identify key issues, problem departments, and vendors. Work with the merchants to develop best practices.
Present previous month results in MIO month end departmental meetings. Highlight results and action plans.
Partner with Planning Team on proper methods to prevent overstatement of on order merchandise.
Publish daily reporting to merchants recapping changes made to purchase orders.
Assist in the implementation of a new non-compliance policy for overages and substitutions and ensure that chargebacks are completed.
Work with Manager and contribute to the implementation of improved methods of efficiency.
Partner with the Distribution Centers to improve their ""Advanced Receiving"" processes and escalate issues for quick resolution
Partner with Inventory Control in identification and resolution of distribution center issues which may cause shortages or overages.
Follow through and partner inter-departmentally on issues which are cross functional. Utilize and collaborate on existing report improvements.
Monitor corporate system enhancements.
Skills Summary:
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Must have strong knowledge of Windows 2010, Excel, Lotus Notes, Word and Access.
Must have retail or related experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Must be able to work and thrive in a fast paced environment.
Detail oriented and highly organized.
Strong multitasking ability.
