Job Title: General Maintenance Tech Business Unit: Work Place Resources Reports to: General Manager Created: 1/13
SUMMARY: Provides customer and facilities maintenance support for SODEXO Facilities Department Provides superior customer service and quality results. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Customer relations: Responds to customer request to ensure that all objectives are met. Responsible for accurate and timely reporting. 2. Financial Reporting and Administration N/A 3. Operations: Answers to Building Lead. Responsible for all building operation within assigned building. Required to identify needed repairs, create work orders, schedule work and follow to completion. Required to work overtime as needed and approved. Able to respond to emergency call in on a 24/7 basis. Repairs include but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, lamp replacement, moves, and general repairs. 4. Decision-Making: Makes timely and well thought out decisions. Uses experience and knowledge in decision making process 5. Interpersonal and Communication: Articulates ideas both verbal and written in a clear manner. Shares information with others willingly. Promotes teamwork. 6. Alignment with Business Unit Objectives: Good customer interaction skills. Some computer skills needed for pulling work orders and entering PM'S. Seeks out ways to improve performance, and cut cost in the department. 7. Other: Helps to support other employees and their departments as needed. 8. Skills: . Must have minimum 5 year's experience in the facilities maintenance or commercial office field . Must be able to work with minimal supervision . Must be proactive and self motivated . Must have computer experience (work order system, BMS system, Word, Excel, email) . Must have working knowledge of general maintenance . Must have general construction experience . Must be able to be on call 24/7 for emergencies . Must carry pager, cell phone, and radio to respond to emergency calls . Must be able to work overtime as required . Must be able to communicate openly with others . Data Center experience a plus
